Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

I am definitely not impressed with the new Pokemon Ranger game. I know that the Ranger games were supposed to put a role playing spin on the Pokemon series, but I think that they went a bit over board with the story. I constantly found myself stuck with lines of dialogue scrolling across the screen, which I frankly didn't care about. Capturing Pokemon was fun at first, but it quickly got to become a monotone task. I didn't get very far into the game, since I could not force myself to play this game which was just draining my time. One of the few ups of the game was the Ranger Net, on which you could download new missions and goodies. Some of them offer rare Pokemon such as Darkrai and Palkia/Dialga but most of the rare one's are only down loadable for a time limit. To see a list of all the ranger updates, go here, which is the Pokemon Ranger Station. I don't think there's much else for me to cover, so I guess I'm done reviewing this game. If you guys have a different opinion on the game, please comment on this post, and explain why. I would love to hear your thoughts. Clicking out,
Tai

Social Vibe

Ok, so this is not a game review but it's very important. I have recently added a little widget on the sidebar which say Social Vibe on it. Please take the time to click on the widget and do what it tells you. Every time somebody does this, multiple sponsors will give money to charities. My charity works to offset card dioxide in the atmoshpere. So please, please, take one minute and click on the widget. This isn't for me, it's for the world. Thank you.

Super Princess Peach

Nintendo has finally decided to stop using the same story over and over. I mean, why did Peach keep getting kidnapped by the same guy? You think she would learn eventually, which she did. In the new Nintendo game, you play as Princess Peach, trying to rescue Mario and Luigi from Bowser. Surprisingly, I find this game much more entertaining then the other Mario games. Here's how the story goes: There is a magical island called Vibe Island that supposedly hold much power. Bowser makes his summer villa (which is actually a castle) on the island and a minion of his finds the Vibe Scepter, a powerful item which Bowser uses to capture Mario and Luigi. Princess Peach finds out about this and goes off to rescue them with the help of Perry the Magic Parasol. Princess Peach can go into 4 special vibes, ranging from Joyful, Mad, Sad, and Calm. They each do something that will help Peach in her mission, such as setting nearby things on fire when she's Mad. Of course, using a Vibe depletes your Vibe Bar, and when it's empty you can't use your vibes. Not to worry though, you can have Perry consume some enemies which will fill up your Vibe Meter in no time. Yum! Along the way, you need to find three Toads from the Mushroom Kingdom in ever level. You need all of them to fight Bowser, so be on the look out for them! The game is full of collectibles, such as puzzles pieces, songs, flashbacks, and such. You can buy upgrades and attacks in the Shop with the coins you find in the levels. The only bad thing I've found is the lack of repercussions. When you die in a level, you just have to start the level again. You don't lose any coins or collectibles, and you don't have to find all the Toads again. For most people it's ok, but for me and some others it makes the game kinda easy. I give it a 7 out of ten overall. I give it a 8 for graphics, a 7 for playability, 6 for Entertainment, and a 5 for replayability.

Call of Duty, World at War

In the DS version for the new COD game, you get a great playing experience. There are three campaigns, one for different Allied powers. You start out in the American campaign, then you are brought to the British/Canadian campaign in the middle of the American campaign. At the middle part of the Brit/Can campaign they cut you off and put you into the Russian story. As you can guess, before you finish the Russian story, they kick you back into the Brit/Can campaign. Then, back to Russian, and finally they finish the American story. It can be kind of annoying at times, but it makes for a interesting storyline in total. Along the way, there are yellow golden stars called collectibles. Each collectible reveals a little piece of a picture. There all also Achievments (like the one's in Xbox, except no Gamer Points) for things like getting 1500 kills, or Mantling 250 times. One nice little feature is the stat tracker. It keeps track of all your kills, deaths, headshots, ect. There is also a Multiplayer version of the stat tracker. There are also Challenge Levels and Quickplay versions of each level. The controls are confusing at first but easy once you play for a hour, they get alot easier. This game is great, especially if you're on a long car trip. I give it a 7 out of 10.
